STAFF CHANGES AT CASTLE
Monmouthshire County Council announced that it was considering a new staffing structure for Caldicot Castle. A report to be considered by councillors recognised that having only a part-time site co-ordinator had not been successful and that new park ranger and catering posts were needed. The post of events coordinator for the county was to be dropped from the structure suggesting that there would be less large scale events at the castle in the future. The council also published details of its ‘Alternative Delivery Model’ for tourism, youth and leisure services. The services would continue to be founded by the council but managed through a charity, ‘Monmouthshire Life Plus’ with nine trustees, only two of which would be council representatives.

CHOIR AT BUCK HOUSE
Caldicot Male Voice Choir sang at a garden party which held at Buckingham Palace attended by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

CROWDS AT FESTIVAL
It was reported that reported numbers had attended the Monmouthshire Food Festival held at Caldicot Castle.
