COMPLAINTS OVER SKATEPARK
Local skateboarders raised concerns over the condition of the skatepark at Caldicot Leisure Centre. Holes had appeared in the concrete and broken rails had not been repaired.

VIGIL FOR TEROR VICTMS
Around 100 people attended a vigil in memory of the victims of the terror attack at Manchester Arena. A letter of thanks to the people of Caldicot from Matt Strong, a Manchester City Councillor who grew up in Caldicot, was read.

COMPANY REBRAND
A Caldicot-based company rebranded as part of its plans to double in size. The Caldicot Group, formally known as Caldicot Fleet Maintenance, is one of the UK’s leading recovery agencies with a fleet of 100 vehicles and depots in Caldicot and Walsall.

BANNED FROM ASDA
Police visited parents and banned two children from Caldicot’s Asda supermarket following complaints of antisocial behaviour.

HOUSE PRICE WATCH
The cheapest property advertised on www.rightmove.co.uk for sale in Caldicot at the end of June 2017 was a one bedroom apartment in Sandy Lane at £104,950. The cheapest house was a one bedroom cluster house in Grove Gardens, Church Road, at £115,950. The most expensive was a four bedroom barn conversion in the original grounds of Llanthony Secunda Manor, Church Road at £549,500.
