NEW SCHOOL ON TRACK
A ceremony was held at Caldicot Comprehensive School to mark progress in building the new school, which is due to open in autumn 2017.

Sixteen year old Caldicot air cadet Sophie Hallam was rewarded for her work at Fairford Air Tattoo by being given a flight in an A400M, the RAF’s new transport aircraft.

The European football championship fanzone at Caldicot Castle was sold out within minutes as supporters flocked to see Wales progress to the semi-finals.

DUBS FANS FLOCK TO CASTLE
Over 4000 people visited the annual three day ‘Dubs Festival’ for fans of Volkswagen camper vans at Caldicot Castle.

HOUSE PRICE WATCH
The cheapest property advertised on www.rightmove.co.uk for sale in Caldicot at the end of July 2016 was a one bedroom flat in Monmouth Court, Sandy Lane at £104,950.  The cheapest house was a two bedroom semi-detached bungalow in Mill Lane at £159,950. The most expensive was a four bedroom detached house in Heol Glaslyn at £355,950.
